My name is Malave Bettinger and I am a student-athlete and Professional Studies Major at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. (UAH) My minor is Human Resource Management. I was awarded a scholarship to play baseball for the Chargers of UAH.
I am progressing through my professional studies courses and learning many transferable skills I can use out in the field. I took three professional studies courses this past summer and because of this, I will be graduating in the Spring of 2020 with a bachelors degree and with this I want to work in a HR setting and be a part in a successful organization.
I enjoy baseball, basketball, fishing, hockey, and football. I am from Coldwater, Ohio – near the east of the Indiana border and directly west of Wapakoneta, Ohio – the home of Neil Armstrong, which is located on Interstate I-75. .
I plan to graduate at the end of the program with the knowledge and skills I will need out in the work field. I will obtain the grades I need, and work hard as I can to ensure that I am ready for everything I will face on the job. I intend to find a job as a human resource manager or director in either Alabama or Ohio. I am honest, trustworthy and dedicated to finishing any assignment I am given quickly and efficiently. My mission is to apply the skills and employment law I learned in school to my future career in human resource management and have the ability to educate and train individuals on policy and procedure.
I am extroverted, sensitive, and prefer to think a situation through before making a decision; however, I am also a quick decision maker when it comes to the safety and well-being of people.
